Rufford Reflection Room

This room was established in response to the children wanting somewhere quiet to pray and reflect in school. Using a combination of children's fundraising events and a donation from the family of Mrs Sue Dawson (a midday supervisor who used to work at school).

The room is a quiet space, filled with relaxing music, books, cushions, art materials, quiet games and wellbeing resources, for the children to access away from the noise and pace of the rest of the school. It can also be used a quiet place to pray or have moments of reflection.

 Outdoor Space

Our outdoor space is very important in supporting the wellbeing of our children. We know the positive impact being outside can have on children, which is why we aim to offer as many different outdoor environments and activities as we can, within our space. These outdoor areas include:

  • Woodland area, with reading tree and fire pit area, which is used mainly by the juniors
  • Woodland area, with a pond and different activity spaces, which is used mainly by our infants and EYFS
  • Football, basketball  and table tennis areas
  • Climbing walls
  • Climbing trim trails and adventure park areas
  • The Hive activity play area - with trampettes, building blocks, tyres, books, arts materials, outdoor games, cushions and rugs
  • Playtime active equipment
  • Grass and astroturf areas
  • Story chair and stools
  • Adapted hill area, with climbing and seating zones
  • Picnic benches, covered areas and friendship benches
